Edward J. McKeever, a Brooklyn-born construction contractor, along with his brother Stephen, significantly impacted the Brooklyn Dodgers' history in the early 20th century. On January 2, 1912, the McKeever brothers purchased a 50% stake in the Dodgers from Henry Medicus. They joined forces with fellow owner Charles Ebbets to construct the iconic Ebbets Field, a landmark in Brooklyn's baseball history.
