Drive and Dish

Dec 31, 2019
1 hour

Welcome back to the first post-Christmas edition of the Drive & Dish NBA podcast. Justin Cousart (@JustinContheAir) is off this week, so Kevin Rafuse (@rafusetolose) is joined by Chris Crawford (@ESPN580CC) & Sam B. Albuquerque (@SamBAlbuquerque), hosts of “The Fan Zone” on ESPN 580 Orlando. The guys immediately jump into hoops, as Sam explains why he’s lower on Denver than other contenders, while Kevin & Chris argue that the Nuggets still are real contenders to win the final. Chris also explains why he thinks Denver should shorten their rotation. After that, the guys recap the battle of LA, as Sam explains his concerns about his Lakers, and why depth could hurt them against the Clippers. Kevin then explains why he still thinks that the Clippers are the favorites to come out of the West. The guys then move east, as they break down Milwaukee’s blowout loss to the Sixers on Christmas. Kevin explains he’s flustered following that game, and why this really shouldn’t be that big of a concern for the Bucks. Chris then argues that people are sleeping on Boston, across the league, as he feels they are true contenders in the Eastern Conference. The guys then have a spirited debate over who’s a bigger rival for Boston, Philadelphia or New York, not just now, but historically. That leads to a revisiting of the flex option for Christmas, as Sam argues why they just should have a rivalry game on Christmas, regardless of how good the teams actually are. Plus who is the top 5 players that we’d least like to get in a fight with, the guy's debate who will have the most titles at the end of the 2020’s. Leave us a review on iTunes & we’ll read them on the podcast. We’re also on Google Play, Stitcher, PlayerFM, Spreaker & Spotify. Watch the podcast on YouTube.
