Connie Mack, born Cornelius McGillicuddy, was an American professional baseball player, manager, and team owner. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest managers in the history of the game. Mack began his career as a catcher in the minor leagues, and eventually made his way to the Major Leagues, playing for the Washington Nationals and the Pittsburgh Pirates.
