The Baltimore Ravens face a pivotal offseason in 2022 as it relates to the future of the franchise. They’ve done a good job of building around quarterback Lamar Jackson and giving him weapons on offense, as well as a defense that can get him the ball back and put him in position to win games consistently. - Despite those facts, the team has to shore up a few areas between now and the start of the 2022 season. There are many avenues that Baltimore can take in order to achieve that, including the draft. In his latest 2022 NFL mock draft, Ryan Wilson of CBS Sports has the Ravens selecting Florida State University edge rusher Jermaine Johnson II, citing that the Senior Bowl standout helped his draft stock immensely during his week in Mobile, Alabama. - “No one had a better Senior Bowl week than Johnson. We liked his 2021 tape a lot, but thought of him as a fringe first/second-rounder. He put any such doubts to rest with a dominating practice week in Mobile.” - Johnson was outstanding at the Senior Bowl, showing off a wide array of moves and skills that warrant first round consideration. During his three year collegiate career, Johnson totaled 106 tackles, 18 sacks and three forced fumbles. He is exceptional both rushing the passer and defending against the run, and is a high impact player in whatever role he’s asked to play. Johnson extremely well rounded with very few limitations, and the 6-foot-5, 265 pound edge rusher could turn into absolute force at the NFL level, which would benefit Baltimore if they were the team to select him. - - - - - - - - - - - - Email - - - - - Sign up - - - - - - - - Like this article? - Sign up for the Ravens Wire email newsletter to get our top stories in your inbox every morning - - - - An error has occured - - - Please re-enter your email address. - - - - - - Thanks for signing up! - - - You'll now receive the top Ravens Wire stories each day directly in your inbox.
