The Baltimore Ravens will have plenty of needs to fill during 2022 free agency. They created around $11.8 million dollars in cap space with the release of cornerback Tavon Young and the retirement of offensive tackle Alejandro Villanueva. - When listing out one realistic dream free agent signing for each NFL team, Brent Sobleski of Bleacher Report named star defensive lineman Akiem Hicks as his choice for Baltimore. He talked about how Hicks would be a great addition to the Ravens’ defensive front with his power at the point of attack. - - - “When Hicks is healthy and on his game, he’s a wrecking ball along the interior. His power at the point of attack is difficult to replicate. Having Hicks collapse the pocket while Odafe Oweh and Tyus Bowser work off the edges would be a boon for the Ravens.” - - Hicks has been a dominant defensive lineman for years, totaling 387 tackles and 40.5 sacks over the course of his 10-year career. Baltimore has had a bit of pressure generating interior pressure in recent seasons, so Hicks would add a dynamic skillset to the Ravens’ defensive front if signed. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Email - - - - - Sign up - - - - - - - - Like this article? - Sign up for the Ravens Wire email newsletter to get our top stories in your inbox every morning - - - - An error has occured - - - Please re-enter your email address. - - - - - - Thanks for signing up! - - - You'll now receive the top Ravens Wire stories each day directly in your inbox.
