The Baltimore Ravens have known for their ability to draft quality players over the course of their franchise history. They use multiple different strategies to ensure that they’re able to get multiple impact playmakers in almost every draft class, and that shouldn’t change in 2022, where they hold 10 total selections, including nine in the first four rounds. - In his latest 2022 NFL mock draft, Tom Fornelli of CBS Sports projected how each pick of the first round would end up. For Baltimore, he selected University of Washington cornerback Trent McDuffie at No. 14 overall, citing that he plays much bigger than his size. - “I have a long-running love affair with Washington defensive backs, and McDuffie is the latest. Some teams will be scared off by his size, and I understand that, but he’s so quick and versatile. He also plays bigger than he is, and is a terrific tackler who will provide support in the run game.” - McDuffie is widely considered one of the best cornerbacks in the 2022 class, but many have him a tier below players such as LSU’s Derek Stingley Jr. and Cincinatti’s Ahmad Gardner. The Washington cornerback is sticky and coverage and uses his athleticism to his advantage, and with the Ravens needing cornerback depth he could be an option for them in the first round. - - - - - - - - - - - - Email - - - - - Sign up - - - - - - - - Like this article? - Sign up for the Ravens Wire email newsletter to get our top stories in your inbox every morning - - - - An error has occured - - - Please re-enter your email address. - - - - - - Thanks for signing up! - - - You'll now receive the top Ravens Wire stories each day directly in your inbox.
