The Baltimore Ravens currently have 10 selections in the 2022 NFL draft. There are a multitude of ways that Baltimore general manager Eric DeCosta could choose to use those assets, including trading up, trading down, trading picks for a veteran and more. - In his latest 2022 NFL mock draft, Damian Parson of The Draft Network laid out how he believes the first round will go, selecting a player for each of the first 32 picks. For the Ravens at No. 14, he gave them a star cornerback in Andrew Booth Jr. out of Clemson University. He explained that Booth would allow Baltimore to play press-man coverage confidently. - “The addition of Marcus Williams will help their overall defensive coverage—a proven commodity at safety is pivotal. The division received a huge earthquake-esque move by the Cleveland Browns adding Deshaun Watson. Therefore, the need for sticky man-cover corners has risen a little. Andrew Booth Jr. is an explosive athlete with twitchy movement skills to mirror opposing receivers. This move allows the Ravens to get back to confident press-man coverage.” - Booth totaled 68 tackles and five interceptions during his three years at Clemson, but his impact on the field goes far beyond the box score. His size and athleticism is an enticing blend, and he would join an already star-studded cornerback room that includes Marlon Humphrey and Marcus Peters, but needs more quality depth. - - - - - - - - - - - - Email - - - - - Sign up - - - - - - - - Like this article? - Sign up for the Ravens Wire email newsletter to get our top stories in your inbox every morning - - - - An error has occured - - - Please re-enter your email address. - - - - - - Thanks for signing up! - - - You'll now receive the top Ravens Wire stories each day directly in your inbox.
