On this episode of Celtics PRIDE, Adam, Josh, and Mike try to make sense of the Celtics up-and-down play over the last week, and come to peace with the fact the Celtics are not likely to compete for the ‘ship as currently constructed. The question is… what does that mean for next steps? Well, Adam and Josh argue that the team is best served by enduring the growing pains that come with a young bench and two young stars growing into new roles as lead playmakers, while Mike wonders whether Ainge should be looking to trade Kemba for something of value (even if modest) to create greater long-term cap flexibility. Josh even introduces the newest Celtics PRIDE segment “Started from the comments, now we’re here” to underscore his message of the need to keep patient with this young team that’s still learning their way.  - The Celtics PRIDE team then revisits their TPE big boards from the other week to see whether priorities have shifted based on movement in the standings, and the Celtics helter-skelter performance. Mike then proposes a three-team trade to Adam and Josh that would Kemba and returns a former All-Star to the Celtics. - Finally, Coach Motenko asks whether the Kemba chemistry hype is overblown, and asks Adam and Mike which former Celtic they’d rather have on the team right now if forced to pick: Al Horford, Terry Rozier, or Jae Crowder. - “I think it’s about maturity… I think, you know, these guys [Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum] are gonna be good ball movers when they’re in their prime but they’re years away from their prime right now.” Coach Motenko on what’s contributing most to the Celtics stagnant offense. - Remember to rate, review, and subscribe to the Celticsblog podcast feed (we're “Celtics PRIDE”) and follow us on Twitter @celticspridepod, a @celticsblog podcast.  - Hosts: Adam Motenko, Josh Motenko @coachmotenko and Mike Minkoff @mikeminkoffnba.   - Email: at [email protected] - Learn more about your ad choices.
