As someone who played a part in the Buffalo Bills’ front office work, including scouting, over the past year, one could assume that Joe Schoen knows the team’s draft board. - Buffalo general manger Brandon Beane even recently praised Schoen’s scouting abilities when commenting on what talents he has. - “I’m sad personally to lose Joe and I know a lot of people in the building will be,” Beane said via the team’s website. “He’s a great evaluator, he’s a great communicator.” - But few would expect the New York Giants’ new general manager to openly admit he knows. Which is exactly what he did. - Schoen was asked during his introductory press conference with the Giants last week if he felt he had a good feel on the upcoming draft. The answer was yes, naturally, but the reasoning was because of the Bills. - “Fortunately, I was able to get on the road quite a bit this year. [In] Buffalo, I had already seen rounds one through four on our board so I’m in a good spot on the college draft,” Schoen said. “I’m in good shape in terms of the draft.” - What does this mean for the Bills? Well, perhaps something, perhaps nothing. The two teams pick on the opposite ends of the upcoming 2022 NFL draft. - But there’s a chance that knowing how Buffalo ranks players could help Schoen in terms of trading up in front of the Bills. - We’ll have to wait and see if this comes into once April rolls around. - - RelatedBills' Brian Daboll expected to have second interview with DolphinsHall of Famer Cris Carter puts Josh Allen, Patrick Mahomes on same level (video)The Bills' top-five grades from PFF against the Chiefs - - - - - - - - - - - - Email - - - - - Sign up - - - - - - - - Like this article? - Sign up for the Bills Wire email newsletter to get our top stories in your inbox every morning - - - - An error has occured - - - Please re-enter your email address. - - - - - - Thanks for signing up! - - - You'll now receive the top Bills Wire stories each day directly in your inbox.
