What likely seemed like a move waited upon for ages for folks in Buffalo, the Bills finally promoted quarterbacks coach Ken Dorsey to offensive coordinator on Tuesday. - Dorsey had long been considered the candidate to do so once Brian Daboll, recently hired by the New York Giants, landed a head-coaching gig for himself. - Because of NFL rules, the delay probably had to do with the Bills having to interview candidates for the job to meet certain criteria. For example, Buffalo was required to chat with at least one coach from another team. - When it was all said and done, the Bills ended up locking Dorsey up, but potentially further increasing anxiety in Buffalo surrounding Dorsey was quarterback Josh Allen. Last week, Allen gave some huge praise to Dorsey. - Allen said he was a “huge advocate” for Dorsey to be promoted. In the moment, some might have thought the Bills really needed to get Dorsey promoted for Allen. - Now looking back, those comments actually feel a lot more promising instead of a bit nerve-wrecking. For a few days there, links between Dorsey and the Giants started to grow. But that is no more. - So let’s have a full peak at Allen’s thoughts on Dorsey being promoted now that the team has locked the coach up. Here’s video of Allen on Dorsey via Spectrum News last week: - - "I think when he got here three years ago my career definitely changed." - When your franchise QB makes a statement like that, pretty easy to see why Ken Dorsey has been elevated to Josh Allen and #Bills new offensive coordinator. pic.twitter.com/ZBqiYpqNKF - — Jon Scott (@JonScottTV) February 1, 2022 - - - - RelatedBills' Josh Allen to compete in Pro-Am golf tournamentBills officially promote Ken Dorsey to offensive coordinatorBills' Jordan Poyer reflects on 2021 season in social media post - - - - - - - - - - - - Email - - - - - Sign up - - - - - - - - Like this article? - Sign up for the Bills Wire email newsletter to get our top stories in your inbox every morning - - - - An error has occured - - - Please re-enter your email address. - - - - - - Thanks for signing up! - - - You'll now receive the top Bills Wire stories each day directly in your inbox.
