New York State Governor Kathy Hochul believes there will be a deal in place to build a new Buffalo Bills stadium by the time the state’s budget is due for 2022. - That date is April 1. - Hochul called the conversations at the negotiating table, are between the team, state and Erie County,  “very positive.” - “I feel very confident that they’ll be resolved in time to have conversations during the budget process,” Hochul said during an event in Buffalo via the Buffalo News. “This is a very important priority to me, this community, and also the entire state.” - “We’ll be able to find the resources in the budget,” Hochul added. - Hochul’s comments stating that a concrete done deal is done just yet. However, they do reinforce recent updates. - Multiple outlets, including The Athletic, have noted a deal is nearing. Specifically, they have said the finalization of a new venue could be done at some point during the month of March. - Other previous headlines made note that the new venue could be around a 60,000 seating capacity stadium. - The report from The Athletic also states the Bills have “begun preliminary steps” toward the new stadium’s actual construction. - Bills Wire will continue to follow the stadium topic as it unfolds.
