Rumor has it that Carolina Panthers legend Luke Kuechly isn’t an actual human. Some, in fact, believe he’s really a cyborg football assassin from 45 years in the future who was sent back to eradicate opposing offenses. - He didn’t confirm this theory, but old teammate and fellow franchise great Greg Olsen didn’t deny it either. During his appearance for The Pat McAfee Show on Wednesday, Olsen recalled Kuechly’s football intelligence in a description which may lead you to believe that the former linebacker is, indeed, a robot of some sort. - - Luke Kuechly pic.twitter.com/0WWjVtlkdf - — Michael Rimmer (@AVL_Mike) March 9, 2022 - - - Kuechly spent each of his eight NFL seasons with Olsen in Carolina. So if there are only a handful of people that can speak on Kuechly’s wiring, it’s him. - Over those eight seasons, the 2012 first-round pick racked up numerous accolades at a programmed-like pace. Along with taking home the 2013 AP Defensive Player of the Year award a campaign after being named the AP Defensive Rookie of the Year, Kuechly earned five First-team All-Pro nods, two Second-team All-Pro nods, seven Pro Bowl selections and a spot on the NFL 2010s All-Decade Team. - After retiring following the 2019 season, he then stuck around with the organization as a pro scout for the better part of the next two years. And although he’s since stepped away from the game a bit, it’s likely that he will be back. - - RelatedPanthers greats Greg Olsen, Matt Kalil start podcast networkPanthers great Luke Kuechly has to figure out 'what's next' - - List - - 6 Panthers greats who could be next for the Pro Football Hall of Fame - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Email - - - - - Sign up - - - - - - - - Like this article? - Sign up for the Panthers Wire email newsletter to get our top stories in your inbox every morning - - - - An error has occured - - - Please re-enter your email address. - - - - - - Thanks for signing up! - - - You'll now receive the top Panthers Wire stories each day directly in your inbox.
