Like his fellow teammate Robby Anderson, Carolina Panthers linebacker Jermaine Carter Jr. spent some of his weekend tuning into the NFL’s wild-card round. But unlike Anderson, Carter Jr. was a bit more lighthearted in his reaction to the playoff display. As Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady began to carve up the Philadelphia Eagles in his team’s 31-15 victory, the fourth-year backer made note of the three-time Most Valuable Player’s football acumen with a little firsthand experience. Man Brady was out there calling out our plays drawing up routes in the air no lie — Jermaine Carter Jr. (@JERMA1NECARTER) January 16, 2022 - No funnies bruh Brady said Gronk it s cover 2 pic.twitter.com/IM65L29fMi — Jermaine Carter Jr. (@JERMA1NECARTER) January 16, 2022 - No funnies, indeed. Brady is just one week off from also carving up Carter’s Panthers. The 44-year-old completed 29 of his 37 throws against Carolina for 326 yards and three touchdowns in a 41-17 blowout win. Carter wasn’t kidding about tight end Rob Gronkowski either. Gronk reeled in a season-high 137 yards on seven catches with 116 of those yards, according to Pro Football Focus, being charged to Carter himself. Much like he did against the Panthers last Sunday, Brady registered another clean outing in the triumph connecting on 29 of 37 attempts (again) for 271 yards and a pair of scores.
