/ In addition to the weekly newspaper, Collyer created a scientific handicapping system that was adopted by millions of readers and published an annual yearbook that gave predictions for all sports. It promoted his system of horse handicapping with detailed ratings for all major thoroughbreds and advice on modifying ratings after each race. Collyer's system is still revered today.
