- - - The Cincinnati Bengals might not have “home-field advantage” when they play the Los Angeles Rams at SoFi Stadium in California during Super Bowl XLI. - But the Bengals are technically the “home” team — and they might just kick the Rams out of their own locker room. - According to The Athletic’s Jay Morrison, as the home team, the Bengals will kick the Rams out of their own locker room at home for the big game: - “And the AFC is the home team this year, which means the #Bengals will taking up residency in the Rams locker room, displacing LA from its own digs.” - We’ll have to wait and see if this is what the NFL ends up doing given the unique circumstances (the Rams have a home game in the Super Bowl, after all). But per the usual rules, the AFC team would get the home locker room. - Rest assured it’s already a topic among players, as Rams CB told the media the following after his team’s NFC title game win: “I don’t know the logistics of it, hopefully we can get our locker room. Hopefully we can be up in our locker room, have the music playing…hopefully LA comes and packs the stadium out.” - Not that the Bengals will mind either way — they’re 7-2 on the road this year when playing starters, with the two losses coming back three points apiece. - - List - - LeBron James, NFL players and more show love to Super Bowl-bound Bengals - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Email - - - - - Sign up - - - - - - - - Like this article? - Sign up for the Bengals Wire email newsletter to get our top stories in your inbox every morning - - - - An error has occured - - - Please re-enter your email address. - - - - - - Thanks for signing up! - - - You'll now receive the top Bengals Wire stories each day directly in your inbox.
