The Baseball Barista with Hunter Pence & Grant Brisbee is back for another week and the guys break down Hunter's time in Colorado for the All-Star Game. Hunter was on the field for BP of the HR Derby and was amazed at some of the shots hit. The both really enjoy the new bracket format of the Derby and the production that MLB puts on for it. Ohtani was the big favorite, but was knocked out by Juan Soto in Round 1. The guys talk about how amazing Juan Soto is for only being a 22 year old player and Hunter thinks he still can get way better. Pete Alonso ending up winning the Derby and going back to back. He was so into the event and was built for a Derby. They talk about how Madison Bumgarner would do in a Derby and if there was any chance of a pitcher's HR Derby or a retired players HR Derby every happening. Hunter talks about the great time he had playing in the celebrity softball game. He met so many awesome people and was great to see how quickly some of these celebs picked up playing softball. And they talk about what gameshow they would want to be on and if they like hot sauce. - - Follow Hunter on Twitter: @hunterpence - Follow Grant on Twitter: @GrantBrisbee - - Subscribe to The Athletic for just $3.99 per month at theathletic.com/baseballshow - Learn more about your ad choices.
