More dust-settling on the defense started the new week in Dallas. With the Randy Gregory debacle still stinging, the edge rusher added insult to injury over social media, laying into both the Cowboys front office and its fans. The team is moving on, though, shopping for possible replacements for Gregory, with two big names still in play. Elsewhere, the team’s leading tackler has come to terms to return in 2022. That’s great news for Dan Quinn’s unit, but it could take the team out of the running for the services of one of free agency’s top stars. - Dak Prescott made an appearance Monday and touched on everything from his rehabbing shoulder to the locker room’s recent losses on offense; the departures of La’el Collins and Amari Cooper will still be felt for a while. In addition, we’ve got a hint at Keanu Neal’s future, further evidence that the Cowboys were just plain done with one veteran, and a trio of draft-day prospects to get to know before Dallas is on the clock. That’s all up next in News and Notes.
