The Dallas Cowboys decided to take a risk on health and go for a win hoping to improve their playoff positioning. It paid off. After the San Francisco 49ers upset the Los Angeles Rams, the Cowboys’ Week 18 victory moved the team into the third seed in the NFC. That allows them to avoid the Green Bay Packers in Lambeau field off a bye and improves their chances at more home playoff games. First though, Dallas must get past a hot 49ers team that has won seven of their last nine games, and four of their final five. San Francisco has elements on offense that are a real cause for concern for the Cowboys’ defense. Head coach Kyle Shanahan is a master at getting run production for his teams, and the Cowboys are not an efficient run defense. Pass catchers like like Deebo Samuels, George Kittle, and Brandon Aiyuk could give defensive coordinator Dan Quinn a few sleepless nights. The key for the Cowboys defense will be getting the game in the hands of San Francisco quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo and letting their monster pass rush loose to hopefully forced the 49ers into mistakes. For the Dak Prescott lead offense it’ll be necessary to not allow the opposing defensive line to wreck the game. If the offensive line can hold their own against Nick Bosa and Arik Armstead, then the Cowboys should be able to attack the secondary of San Francisco and put points on the board. Here’s all the information on how to watch, stream, listen, and bet on the first Cowboys playoff game since 2018.
