The Dallas Cowboys haven’t valued safety extremely high in what seems like forever, but with the massive defensive turnaround in 2021, there aren’t many glaring holes left to fill. Could this be the year the front office finally addresses safety early in the draft? Penn State’s Jaquan Brisker is a name often mocked to the Cowboys and a player who has created substantial buzz throughout the season and could be worthy of the team’s foray into the pedigree of the position. - Upon evaluation, Brisker’s body type shocked the most. There was an expectation for a short rangy safety with stubby arms who somehow despite that is able t make plays on the ball. However Brisker is a healthy specimen who looks like he has vines for arms, and could be yet another of the freak athletes Penn State churns out. Dallas has a recent track record of enjoying the fruits of the Nittany Lions’ recruiting profiles. Brisker is very versatile, has the ability to matchup and erase TEs from the game, and has fantastic football IQ. What else does he bring to the table? A deeper look follows. -
