Four former Denver Broncos players will participate in the NFL’s conference championship games on Sunday afternoon. - First, in the AFC championship game, ex-Broncos backup quarterback Brandon Allen will be available behind starter Joe Burrow against the Kansas City Chiefs. Also of note: Brian Callahan, Cincinnati’s offensive coordinator, started his coaching career in Denver and he interviewed for the Broncos’ head coach opening after the team fired Vic Fangio. - Then, in the NFC’s title game, San Francisco 49ers wide receiver/returner River Cracraft will face off against Los Angeles Rams outside linebackers Von Miller and Justin Hollins. - The 49ers are coached by Kyle Shanahan, the son of former Broncos coach Mike Shanahan, and his staff includes ex-Denver offensive lineman Orlando Franklin. San Francisco’s staff also includes ex-Broncos wide receivers Wes Welker and former Denver offensive coordinator Rich Scangarello. Clay Kubiak, the son of former Broncos coach Gary Kubiak, is also a member of the 49ers’ coaching staff. - In Los Angeles, former Denver general manager Brian Xanders now serves as the Rams’ senior personnel executive.
