Denver Broncos fans probably don’t want to see the division-rival Kansas City Chiefs advance to yet another Super Bowl, but there will be a consolation for Denver if KC reaches the NFL’s championship game. - Broncos left tackle Garett Bolles was named a first-alternate for the 2022 Pro Bowl in December, with Chiefs tackle Orlando Brown representing one of three starters for the all-star game. If KC advances to the Super Bowl, Brown will be unavailable for the Pro Bowl and Bolles will replace him on the AFC’s roster. - Justin Simmons, Denver’s free safety, is also listed as a first-alternate for the Pro Bowl, but it’s unclear if he would replace Chiefs strong safety Tyrann Mathieu given that they play different positions. The NFL has one free safety and two strong safeties listed on each conference’s Pro Bowl roster. - Broncos cornerback Pat Surtain is also a first-alternate for the all-star game. To be added to the AFC’s roster, Surtain would need one of J.C. Jackson, Xavien Howard, Denzel Ward or Kenny Moore to drop out of the Pro Bowl. - The 2022 Pro Bowl will be played in Las Vegas on Sunday, Feb. 6. - - List - - Zero Broncos made initial Pro Bowl roster, but team has 6 alternates - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Email - - - - - Sign up - - - - - - - - Like this article? - Sign up for the Broncos Wire email newsletter to get our top stories in your inbox every morning - - - - An error has occured - - - Please re-enter your email address. - - - - - - Thanks for signing up! - - - You'll now receive the top Broncos Wire stories each day directly in your inbox.
