During his end-of-season press conference last month, Denver Broncos general manager George Paton said the team has about $50 million in available salary cap space this offseason. - The team could create even more cap space by restructuring contracts. - Nick Korte of OverTheCap.com recently published a table listing how much cap space each team could create through restructures this offseason. Korte’s table says Denver could save a whopping $45,794,436 through “simple restructures,” converting money into signing bonuses. - If the Broncos went all out and maximized their restructure possibilities, the team could create up to $74,553,070 in extra cap space, per OTC. - It’s unlikely that Denver will go to that extreme, but the team might make a few cap-related adjustments this offseason. The Broncos have already restructured guard Graham Glasgow’s contract to create more cap space, and it’s possible that similar moves could be on the way. - For now, we know Denver has about $50 million available, and if they want to, the team could make more available. That’s something to keep in mind if a certain quarterback becomes available. - Follow the Broncos Wire Podcast: - Apple Podcasts | Spotify | Google Podcasts - - - List - - 30 best draft prospects at Broncos' biggest positions of need - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Email - - - - - Sign up - - - - - - - - Like this article? - Sign up for the Broncos Wire email newsletter to get our top stories in your inbox every morning - - - - An error has occured - - - Please re-enter your email address. - - - - - - Thanks for signing up! - - - You'll now receive the top Broncos Wire stories each day directly in your inbox.
