In his latest 2022 NFL mock draft, ESPN draft analyst Todd McShay has the Denver Broncos selecting Utah inside linebacker Devin Lloyd with the ninth overall pick in the first round (subscription required for link). - McShay noted that it’s hard to predict Denver’s draft plans without knowing what the team will do at quarterback this offseason, especially with Aaron Rodgers rumors heating up. - Given that Alexander Johnson, Josey Jewell and Kenny Young are set to become free agents, though, McShay has the Broncos selecting Lloyd. - Lloyd (6-3, 235 pounds) totaled 111 tackles (including 22 tackles for losses), seven sacks, six pass breakups, four interceptions, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery in 14 games with the Utes last season. - The Lloyd pick is a change from McShay’s first mock draft, which had the Broncos selecting Liberty quarterback Malik Willis. McShay now has Denver passing on Willis, who falls to pick No. 17. - The 2022 NFL draft will be held in Las Vegas from April 28-30. - Follow the Broncos Wire Podcast: - Apple Podcasts | Spotify | Google Podcasts - - - List - - 30 best draft prospects at Broncos' biggest positions of need - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Email - - - - - Sign up - - - - - - - - Like this article? - Sign up for the Broncos Wire email newsletter to get our top stories in your inbox every morning - - - - An error has occured - - - Please re-enter your email address. - - - - - - Thanks for signing up! - - - You'll now receive the top Broncos Wire stories each day directly in your inbox.
