The Green Bay Packers aren’t the only team waiting for Aaron Rodgers to make a decision on his future this offseason. - The Denver Broncos are also following Rodgers’ status, and if the veteran quarterback asks for a trade, the Broncos are expected to be among his suitors. - Until Rodgers makes a decision, though, all we can do is speculate. And that’s exactly what Pro Football Hall of Fame running back Terrell Davis did during a recent interview with FanDuel’s Lisa Kerney. - “I do,” Davis said when asked if he believes Rodgers will become Denver’s next quarterback. “And I’m not playing, I’m serious. I’ve heard from too many insiders, too many sources — it makes too much sense for us not to get Aaron Rodgers. That’s the talk of Denver …. it sounds like that is the most likely scenario.” - Davis said he thinks former Packers offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett becoming the Broncos’ new head coach helps the chances of a trade. - Rodgers is expected to make a decision — either retirement, staying in Green Bay or request a trade — by early March. - Follow the Broncos Wire Podcast: - Apple Podcasts | Spotify | Google Podcasts - - - List - - 30 best draft prospects at Broncos' biggest positions of need - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Email - - - - - Sign up - - - - - - - - Like this article? - Sign up for the Broncos Wire email newsletter to get our top stories in your inbox every morning - - - - An error has occured - - - Please re-enter your email address. - - - - - - Thanks for signing up! - - - You'll now receive the top Broncos Wire stories each day directly in your inbox.
