Private equity investor Josh Harris is “considering his options” in regards to potentially bidding to buy the Denver Broncos, according to a report from Gillian Tan and Heather Perlberg of Bloomberg (subscription required for link). - Harris, 57, is known for being the co-founder of Apollo Global Management, but he is also heavily involved in sports. - Harris is the principal owner of an NHL team (the New Jersey Devils) and the managing partner of an NBA team (the Philadelphia 76ers). He is also a shareholder of an English Premier League soccer team (Crystal Palace), and he owns a G-League team (Delaware Blue Coats) and an AHL team (the Binghamton Devils). - In 2020, Harris became a minority owner of the Pittsburgh Steelers. If acquires the Broncos, Harris would have to sell his share of the Steelers. - Harris has a net worth of $5.8 billion, according to an estimate from Forbes. Denver’s NFL franchise is expected to sell for more than $4 billion.
