In his latest 2022 NFL mock draft, Draft Wire’s Luke Easterling has the Denver Broncos adding a running back in the bottom of the third round. - Easterling has Denver selecting Michigan State running back Kenneth Walker III at pick No. 96. That would hypothetically be a steal given that Pro Football Focus has Walker ranked as the No. 1 RB in this year’s class. - Walker (5-10, 210 pounds) rushed 264 times for 1,646 yards and 18 touchdowns in 12 games with the Spartans last season. He also caught 13 passes for 89 yards and another score. - If the Broncos re-sign Melvin Gordon this offseason, it would be a little surprising if Denver drafted a running back in the third round. - If Gordon is not re-signed, though, the Broncos will likely want to add a running back to give some relief to Javonte Williams. And if Gordon does come back, Denver might still add a late-round RB for more depth. - Before the Walker pick, Easterling has the Broncos selecting a QB, DL, LB and OT.
