Justin Outten worked with Nathaniel Hackett as a member of the Green Bay Packers’ staff from 2019-2021 — Hackett served as the offensive coordinator and Outten was Green Bay’s tight ends coach. - After the Broncos hired Hackett as their new head coach, he brought Outten with him to Denver, giving him a promotion to offensive coordinator. - During his introductory press conference on Tuesday, Outten shared his appreciation for Hackett in several areas, including organization. - “He’s a master organizer,” Outten said. “I’ve never seen somebody more organized than him. He takes pride in it, and the efficiency that comes out of it is unbelievable. There’s no wasted work. There’s a purpose to everything that he does. - “I tried to replicate that after I saw that. It just made me better and the guys around us better by seeing the organizational factors that come into it and the production that comes out of it.” - Outten said he used to work with a lot of papers and binders, but followed Hackett’s lead of switching over to digital-based storage. - “That just allow[s] you to function a lot faster,” Outten said. “It allows you to be more uniform in game planning… I thank him, and my wife thanks him, for teaching us the ways of notability and Excel and all those good things, and we got rid of all the binders.” - It might sound like a small change for Outten, but a more efficient work process could lead to better game week preparation, which in theory could lead to better results on the field. It all adds up. - Follow the Broncos Wire Podcast: - Apple Podcasts | Spotify | Google Podcasts - - - List - - One free agent each NFL team should want to sign in 2022 - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Email - - - - - Sign up - - - - - - - - Like this article? - Sign up for the Broncos Wire email newsletter to get our top stories in your inbox every morning - - - - An error has occured - - - Please re-enter your email address. - - - - - - Thanks for signing up! - - - You'll now receive the top Broncos Wire stories each day directly in your inbox.
