Brown) - Billionaire Rob Walton is “interested in buying” the Denver Broncos, according to a report from the New York Post‘s Josh Kosman. - The Broncos went up for sale in February. The team has drawn plenty of interest, and they’re hoping to complete a sale before the start of the 2022 NFL season. - Walton, 77, is the oldest son of late Walmart founder Sam Walton. With an estimated net worth of $65.2 billion, Walton could easily buy the Broncos on his own (the team is expected to go for around $4 billion). - Walton became Walmart’s chairman after his father’s death in 1992 and he held that role until retiring in 2015.
