The Denver Broncos have already made some big moves in NFL free agency, but the team still needs a slot cornerback and a starting-caliber safety. - Two of Denver’s own free agents — cornerback Bryce Callahan and safety Kareem Jackson — could fill those roles. Broncos general manager George Paton said Friday that the team would like to re-sign both defensive backs. - “We’re talking to Kareem’s folks as well as Bryce,” Paton said. “We’d like both of them back. Both of them are really good players and good leaders.” - Paton also said that cornerback is a priority position for Denver. Even if Callahan re-signs, additional help could be on the way. - “We’ll keep monitoring the guys who get cut and the corners that are still available,” Paton said. “We need to add a corner or two, definitely.” - It’s unclear exactly how much salary cap space the Broncos have left, but it is clear that Paton still has enough to make a few more moves. - Follow the Broncos Wire Podcast: - Apple Podcasts | Spotify | Google Podcasts - - - Gallery - These 25 celebrities are Broncos fans - - - - - - view 24 images - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Email - - - - - Sign up - - - - - - - - Like this article? - Sign up for the Broncos Wire email newsletter to get our top stories in your inbox every morning - - - - An error has occured - - - Please re-enter your email address. - - - - - - Thanks for signing up! - - - You'll now receive the top Broncos Wire stories each day directly in your inbox.
