There is a decided Big Ten feel to the latest Detroit Lions draft projections from our friends at Draft Wire. In their latest 3-round mock draft, the first three Lions players all hail from the Big Ten conference. - Two of those projected Lions are Michigan Wolverines. At the top, it’s another Aidan Hutchinson-to-Detroit pick with the No. 2 overall selection. With Alabama’s Evan Neal going to the Jaguars with the top pick, Hutchinson remains the most popular projection for Detroit. - The other Wolverine in the projection from Draft Wire editor Luke Easterling comes with the No. 34 overall pick, Detroit’s selection at the top of the second round. Safety Daxton Hill fits the bill of a playmaking force on the back end. - Sandwiched in between the Michigan players is Chris Olave, the wide receiver from Ohio State. The Buckeyes standout earns the nod with the final pick of the first round, and he’s a worthy pick with his exceptional route running and hands. - The only non-Big Ten player in the projection for Detroit is another wide receiver, and it’s one with definite Big Ten ties. Wan’Dale Robinson from Kentucky played his first two college seasons at Nebraska before transferring to the Wildcats. - - List - - Full 7-round Lions mock draft v4.0: The pre-scouting combine edition - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Email - - - - - Sign up - - - - - - - - Like this article? - Sign up for the Lions Wire email newsletter to get our top stories in your inbox every morning - - - - An error has occured - - - Please re-enter your email address. - - - - - - Thanks for signing up! - - - You'll now receive the top Lions Wire stories each day directly in your inbox.
