The Jacksonville Jaguars are scheduled to face all four AFC West and NFC East teams this season. The Denver Broncos, who the Jaguars are slated to host this season, are campaigning to face them in London. - Broncos president/CEO Joe Ellis, who is acting as the franchise owner until a sale is completed, indicated at the NFL owners meeting in Florida this week that he would like to play in London this fall. - “I’d love to see us [play there],” Ellis said Monday. “We play the Jaguars. We’ll see if that becomes a possibility. I don’t know right now for sure. But I’ve expressed interest on behalf of the team. Coach [Nathaniel] Hackett is bullish on it, George [Paton] is bullish on it, Russell Wilson is bullish on it. We’re lobbying as hard as we can.” - Denver volunteered to play the Atlanta Falcons in London during the 2020 season, which later came to fruition. However, the game was moved stateside due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This news most likely makes the Broncos the favorite to be the Jaguars’ opponent in Wembley Stadium this season. - The league’s full international schedule will be released when the complete schedule is announced in late April or early May. The NFL is scheduled to play international games in Germany and Mexico. The Jaguars’ London game has historically been held in October. - The Jags’ record in the United Kingdom currently is 4-4. If they were to play the Broncos there this season, they would be up against a franchise who they’ve split the all-time series with (7-7). - - - “Touchdown Jaguars!” will be published weekly, giving Jags Wire readers a new go-to podcast to hear the latest in news, rumors, and more.
