The Kansas City Chiefs have chosen their drum honoree for the divisional-round game against the Buffalo Bills at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium. - Former Chiefs DL Neil Smith will be the team’s guest of honor on the GEHA Drum Deck on Sunday. He’ll be banging the drum ahead of the game, joining Priest Holmes, Derrick Johnson, Tamba Hali, Jared Allen and Anthony Sherman as former players who have returned to serve as drum honoree during the 2021 NFL season and postseason. - The No. 2 overall pick in the 1988 draft by way of Nebraska, Smith spent seven seasons in Kansas City. One of the most feared pass-rushers in franchise history, Smith ranks third all-time with 86.5 sacks, behind only Derrick Thomas and Tamba Hali. The Chiefs came to a crossroads in 1996, having to choose between Thomas and Smith in free agency. Kansas City went with Thomas, while Smith would go on to play for the Denver Broncos from 1997-1999. - Other pregame entertainment will include a national anthem performance from Grammy award-winning singer-songwriter Judith Hill. The Kansas City, Missouri Fire Department will present the colors during the performance. There will also be a flyover featuring at B-2 Bomber from the 509th Bomb Wing at Whiteman AFB in Knob Noster, Missouri. - At halftime, there will be a performance from St. Louis-native and Grammy award-winning rapper Nelly. If you’re not planning to attend the game, you’ll be able to watch the performance live on the Chiefs’ Facebook and YouTube pages. - - List - - Final injury report for Chiefs vs. Bills, divisional round - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Email - - - - - Sign up - - - - - - - - Like this article? - Sign up for the Chiefs Wire email newsletter to get our top stories in your inbox every morning - - - - An error has occured - - - Please re-enter your email address. - - - - - - Thanks for signing up! - - - You'll now receive the top Chiefs Wire stories each day directly in your inbox.
