After defeating the Buffalo Bills 42-36 on a walk-off overtime touchdown in the divisional round, the Kansas City Chiefs will play host to the Cincinnati Bengals in the AFC championship game. The game will take place on Sunday, Jan. 30 at 2:00 p.m. CT. - The Bengals and Chiefs met back in Week 17 of the regular season, in what was one of the most frustrating losses of the season for Kansas City. Despite playing a clean game with no turnovers from either team, the Chiefs struggled to get positive momentum in this one. Flags were the biggest problem for Kansas City as they had 10 penalties called on them for 83 yards. The defeat ended what was an eight-game winning streak for the Chiefs. - The rematch will take play at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium, just as Patrick Mahomes predicted. Cincinnati is coming off of a big road win against the No. 1 seeded Tennessee Titans. That game also showed that the Bengals have some weaknesses if you can get pressure on QB Joe Burrow. - The Chiefs know what they’re up against should they not play their best football, though. Back in Week 5, Ja’Marr Chase torched the defensive secondary for 266 yards and a score. They’ll have to do much better on that side of the ball if they’re to make it back to a third consecutive Super Bowl. - - List - - Instant analysis of Chiefs' divisional-round win over Bills - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Email - - - - - Sign up - - - - - - - - Like this article? - Sign up for the Chiefs Wire email newsletter to get our top stories in your inbox every morning - - - - An error has occured - - - Please re-enter your email address. - - - - - - Thanks for signing up! - - - You'll now receive the top Chiefs Wire stories each day directly in your inbox.
