The first round was as long as the Lakers lasted in their title defense after a 113-100 Game 6 loss to the Phoenix Suns. To their credit, the Lakers didn't fold up the tents, but instead staged a few energetic rallies fueled by their defense. But the deficit was never cut to single digits, and Chris Paul put the game on ice for the Suns down the stretch.
