Heading into Game 5, the Lakers were hoping Anthony Davis would play, but that if Davis couldn't go, LeBron James would produce another legendary playoff performances. It would be perfectly complemented by several supporting players stepping up, and the Lakers would steal a win in Phoenix. In a nutshell, none of that happened. On both sides of the ball, the Lakers were completely out of sorts, and appeared increasingly (and very uncharacteristically) unconfident. What went wrong, and why?
