In the last game of the first half of the season, the Lakers take the loss up north to the Sacramento Kings. Despite no LeBron James, no Anthony Davis, no Alex Caruso, and no Marc Gasol for the Lakers, they took the Kings to their limits as they had multiple chances to seal the win near the end of the game. Kyle Kuzma, who started in place of LeBron James and Montrezl Harrell, who went back to coming off the bench, each recorded a double-double to end the first half of the season. Dennis Schroder was one assist away from also recording a double-double and led all Lakers with 28 points. The Lakers end the first half of the season on a 2-game losing streak and with a record of 24-13.
