Joe Burrow has a chance to join an exclusive, Joe-only club when he plays in Super Bowl LVI. - Only two starting quarterbacks have ever won a national championship and a Super Bowl. Jets legend Joe Namath became the first, winning the collegiate title with Alabama in 1964 before helping the Jets upset the Colts in Super Bowl III. Joe Montana, meanwhile, was a national champion at Notre Dame in 1977 before winning four Super Bowls with the 49ers. Both Hall of Famers also have Super Bowl MVP awards in their trophy cases. - It’s far too early to know if Burrow will join Namath and Montana in Canton, but a big game victory and MVP award certainly wouldn’t hurt his case. Just 25 years old, the 2020 first-overall pick is coming off a sensational regular season that saw his Bengals finish first in the AFC North. Burrow has been instrumental in Cincinnati’s three playoff wins, going 75-109 for 842 yards, four touchdowns and two interceptions. - Already a national champion at LSU in 2019, Burrow could now join his fellow Joes with a Super Bowl win over the Rams. - - List - - One free agent each team should want to sign in 2022 - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Email - - - - - Sign up - - - - - - - - Like this article? - Sign up for the Jets Wire email newsletter to get our top stories in your inbox every morning - - - - An error has occured - - - Please re-enter your email address. - - - - - - Thanks for signing up! - - - You'll now receive the top Jets Wire stories each day directly in your inbox.
