Important decisions lie ahead for Joe Douglas with free agency looming. - The Jets made some progress in 2021, but Robert Saleh still needs more talent to work with. New York enters the offseason with holes on both sides of the ball and free agency is the perfect time to address some of them. - Upgrading at safety is a major point of emphasis for the Jets this offseason. Lamarcus Joyner and Marcus Maye were lost for the season to injuries in 2021 and both are now free agents. Ashtyn Davis underwhelmed to the point that New York is actively trying to replace him. Elijah Riley was the lone bright spot at the position and it’s hard to bank on him replicating his performance in 2022. - The good news for the Jets is that this year’s free agent class features more than a few quality safeties. There are also some they should stay away from. Here are eight who fall into the latter category.
