It didn’t cost much for the Jets to keep Conor McDermott. - The offensive lineman agreed to a new one-year deal with New York that will pay him a $250,000 signing bonus and a $1.3 million base salary, per The Athletic’s Connor Hughes. The Jets only guaranteed $200,000 of McDermott’s 2022 base salary. He can add another $750,000 with playing-time incentives. - McDermott has mostly been a backup tackle with the Jets for the past three seasons. Expect him to fill that same role in 2022. McDermott started three of New York’s last four games in 2021 and even snagged a one-yard touchdown pass on a trick play in the Jets’ Week 16 win over the Jaguars. - - List - - Jets players share thrilled reactions to Braxton Berrios re-signing - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Email - - - - - Sign up - - - - - - - - Like this article? - Sign up for the Jets Wire email newsletter to get our top stories in your inbox every morning - - - - An error has occured - - - Please re-enter your email address. - - - - - - Thanks for signing up! - - - You'll now receive the top Jets Wire stories each day directly in your inbox.
