Lawrence Cager was one of two players to sign a reserve/future contract with the Jets on Thursday, but he’s no longer a wide receiver. Instead, Cager will rejoin Gang Green as a tight end after originally signing as an undrafted free agent in May 2020. The Georgia product caught two passes for 35 yards for the Jets in 2020. He appeared in one game for Cleveland in 2021 and did not record a reception. Joining Cager on a reserve/future deal is WR Rodney Adams. A Vikings fifth-round pick out of South Florida in 2017, Adams has yet to catch an NFL pass. He played his first offensive snaps in 2021 as a member of the Bears. He has also spent time with the Colts. List Jets sign 10 players to reserve/future contracts, including K Matt Ammendola Email Sign up Like this article?
