The Jets will head into the 2022 offseason with an estimated $53.8 million in salary cap space, according to Over The Cap. That ranks fifth in the NFL. - That’s a lot of money for a still-rebuilding team. The Jets haven’t signed too many big-money deals recently after letting key free agents sign elsewhere, trading away contract-hungry stars, and placing the franchise tag on Marcus Maye last offseason. - Because of these choices, the Jets’ top cap hits aren’t taking up too much of the salary cap. Meanwhile, only two players among the Jets’ top 10 cap hits in 2022 are holdovers from the Jets’ previous regime. - Here’s the full top-10 list.
