The Cowboys, Jets and Jaguars are one and the same. That’s according to Troy Aikman, anyway. - With Dallas fresh off a wild card loss to the 49ers — which ended in chaotic fashion — Aikman ripped his former team on 96.7 The Ticket this week. The Hall of Fame quarterback said that, without a postseason win, the 2021 Cowboys have no more to brag about than some of the NFL’s lowliest teams. - “If you don’t do anything in the postseason, then you’re really, at the end of the day, no different than the Jacksonville Jaguars or the New York Jets that didn’t get in,” Aikman said. - Surely Jaguars and Jets fans, who enjoyed a combined seven wins this season, would have preferred the campaign Dallas put together. The Cowboys went 12-5 before their early playoff exit. The Jets haven’t won 12 games since 1998, while Jacksonville hasn’t matched that total since 2005. - The Jets are in the midst of the NFL’s longest playoff drought, though they have won six playoff games since Aikman retired after the 2000 season. The Cowboys and Jaguars have both won just three postseason games since then. - - List - - 2022 NFL draft: Jets land top safety, dynamic wideout in Mel Kiper Jr.'s latest mock - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Email - - - - - Sign up - - - - - - - - Like this article? - Sign up for the Jets Wire email newsletter to get our top stories in your inbox every morning - - - - An error has occured - - - Please re-enter your email address. - - - - - - Thanks for signing up! - - - You'll now receive the top Jets Wire stories each day directly in your inbox.
