With the Raiders’ new head coach and GM both coming over from the Patriots, as well as several of their hires, it’s only fitting that they start adding players from their former team as well. Today the Raiders signed their first outside player since Dave Ziegler and Josh McDaniels took over and the player’s most recent stop was, of course, New England. - The team added CB Cre’von LeBlanc who a month ago was on the Patriots practice squad. - The sixth-year pro started his career as an undrafted free agent signing by the Patriots out of Florida Atlantic. - Despite his two stints with the Pats, he never played a game for them. LeBlanc has appeared in 52 NFL games with 16 starts, the bulk of which coming with the Bears and Eagles. - LeBlanc spent his first two NFL seasons in Chicago and most of the following three seasons in Philadelphia. - His last game appearance came in 2020 with the Eagles. Last season he bounced around, spending the offseason with the Dolphins, the regular season on the Texans’ practice squad and the postseason on the Patriots’ practice squad. He has two career interceptions — both in ten starts as a rookie with the Bears in 2016 — and 18 career pass breakups. - - List - - Raiders potential 2022 offseason cuts and cap casualties - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Email - - - - - Sign up - - - - - - - - Like this article? - Sign up for the Raiders Wire email newsletter to get our top stories in your inbox every morning - - - - An error has occured - - - Please re-enter your email address. - - - - - - Thanks for signing up! - - - You'll now receive the top Raiders Wire stories each day directly in your inbox.
