Nick Scott hasn’t been known as a big hitter since coming into the NFL as a seventh-round pick out of Penn State in 2019. He’s primarily been a backup and special teams player, too, so his opportunities on defense have been limited. - But this postseason, he’s really announced himself on the biggest stage. Scott has played well in all three of the Rams’ playoff games, making highlight reels with two big hits on A.J. Green and Deebo Samuel. - He won the NFL’s Way to Play award for his hit on Green in the wild-card round and after crushing Samuel to prevent a completion, Scott won the award again. He received a $2,500 grant to donate towards a youth football or coaching program for demonstrating great technique with his tackling. - - Now THAT is how you make a tackle.@nickmscotty earns the NFL Way to Play award + receives a $2,500 grant to donate towards a youth football or coaching program. @NFL pic.twitter.com/Yq69WsqvqV - — Los Angeles Rams (@RamsNFL) February 4, 2022 - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Email - - - - - Sign up - - - - - - - - Like this article? - Sign up for the Rams Wire email newsletter to get our top stories in your inbox every morning - - - - An error has occured - - - Please re-enter your email address. - - - - - - Thanks for signing up! - - - You'll now receive the top Rams Wire stories each day directly in your inbox.
