Aaron Rodgers is staying put in the NFC, but Russell Wilson is on his way out. The Seahawks agreed to trade Wilson to the Broncos on Tuesday, shipping him out of the NFC West for a haul that includes players and multiple draft picks. - It’s an absolute blockbuster of a trade, completely altering the landscape of the AFC and NFC for next season and beyond. The Rams, undoubtedly, benefit from this trade because, well, they no longer have to face Wilson twice a year. - Even though they’re 13-8 against Wilson in the quarterback’s career, they’ll be happy to not face him twice a year like they have for the past 10 seasons. He has 26 touchdowns and 13 interceptions against the Rams in those 21 starts, getting sacked a whopping 82 times – nearly four times per game. - The Rams will still face Wilson next season, though. They’re set to host the Broncos at some point in 2022, and that meeting could very well come in the NFL’s season opener. - As the defending Super Bowl champions, the Rams will host the first game of the year and what better way to kick it off than a battle between the new-look Broncos and last season’s champs? The NFL will announce the complete schedule later this spring, but don’t be surprised if we get Rams-Broncos on Thursday Night Football in Week 1. - - List - - Rams 2022 NFL mock draft: Post-combine edition - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Email - - - - - Sign up - - - - - - - - Like this article? - Sign up for the Rams Wire email newsletter to get our top stories in your inbox every morning - - - - An error has occured - - - Please re-enter your email address. - - - - - - Thanks for signing up! - - - You'll now receive the top Rams Wire stories each day directly in your inbox.
