When the Tampa Bay Buccaneers make it to the Super Bowl, you can always count on one thing: It’s not going to go well for the other team. - It was true in Super Bowl XXXVII, when the Bucs destroyed the Oakland Raiders 48-21 for their first Lombardi Trophy, and it was true once again in Super Bowl LV, when Tampa Bay dominated the Kansas City Chiefs in a 31-9 blowout. - That second championship was achieved one year ago today, as quarterback Tom Brady led the Bucs back to the top of the NFL mountain in his first season with the team, scoring the seventh Super Bowl win of his legendary career. - Bucs fans have had plenty to be sad about in recent weeks, from a heartbreaking loss to the Los Angeles Rams in the playoffs, to Brady’s subsequent retirement after 22 seasons in the NFL. - So, let’s take a moment to remember how much happier things were a year ago:
