Tom Brady would much rather have beaten the Los Angeles Rams in the divisional round of the NFL playoffs, on his way to another Super Bowl of his own, but he’s still able to respect what the Rams just accomplished. - After making bold trades over the past few years in pursuit of a Lombardi Trophy, the Rams finally made it happen Sunday night with a 23-20 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals in Super Bowl LVI. - On the latest episode of his “Let’s Go!” podcast with Larry Fitzgerald and Jim Gray, Brady praised the Rams’ all-in approach that led them to a championship. - “Matt (Stafford) is a very talented quarterback, and he went to a very competitive organization where you have Aaron Donald there and you had Jalen Ramsey, and I know those guys are very competitive,” Brady said (via the Tampa Bay Times). “Sean McVay, who is a great young coach. And then they bring in the same year, they bring in Odell. They go all in with Odell. He has a great first quarter and a half in that game. And they go and trade for Von Miller.” - “People think their time will come, but the reality is you’ve got to do the work to put yourself into position to win a Super Bowl” Brady continued. “You’ve got to go for it.” - “These things are really hard to earn,” Brady said. “You can’t buy them. You’ve got to go earn them. And when you watch the Rams’ approach, you know, they could go the other way, but it’s not from lack of effort. That’s an organization that’s determined to go out there and win Super Bowls, and I have a lot of respect for that.” - It’s hard not to wonder if Brady wishes the Bucs had made their own trades to acquire the likes of Beckham Jr. and Miller, especially as Tampa Bay dealt with the dramatic departure of Antonio Brown, and multiple injuries to Jason Pierre-Paul. - - List - - Ranking the Bucs' most important free agents to re-sign - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Email - - - - - Sign up - - - - - - - - Like this article? - Sign up for the Bucs Wire email newsletter to get our top stories in your inbox every morning - - - - An error has occured - - - Please re-enter your email address. - - - - - - Thanks for signing up! - - - You'll now receive the top Bucs Wire stories each day directly in your inbox.
