The Washington Commanders held an event in the parking lots of FedEx Field Friday to celebrate the franchise’s new identity with fans. The event ran from 6-9 p.m. Friday evening and featured legends, fireworks, free merchandise and fellowship with other fans. - To Washington’s credit, the charge was $5 per vehicle, but all proceeds went to the Washington Football Charitable Foundation which supports the local community. - Fans and some members of the media attended the event, and by all accounts, it was a smashing success. Fans enjoyed the opportunity to take pictures with friends and family members in front of the lit-up new logo while chatting with fellow fans at the event. - Over the years, Washington hasn’t gotten a lot of things right. But the “Park and Party” event Friday at FedEx Field was a successful event. Team president Jason Wright and his staff deserve credit for the fan engagement. - Now, let’s review some of the top images shared by those who attended the event.
