Daniel Snyder purchasing a new mansion in the greater Washington DC area kept both him and Tanya in the front of DMV news Tuesday. - The Snyders (Daniel & Tanya) not only purchased a new home, what they purchased was reportedly the most expensive house in the DC area real estate history.   The house along the Potomac River is said to be near George Washington’s Mount Vernon. - The house originally posted as on sale for “only” $60 million, was purchased for $48 million by the Snyders. Reportedly the home was purchased with cash. After all, why pay interest on such a mansion and why pay closing costs when you can whip out $48 million in cash? - Now age 57, it is not uncommon for many adults to scale down a bit, purchase a smaller home with less property to manage and pocket the remaining cash as profit. But who needs profits when you can simply purchase another mansion while you still own one and a yacht? - Not the Snyders. This new home is a 16.5-acre property containing a 16,000 square foot main home. That’s only the main home. There is also a guest house containing three bedrooms, three bathrooms and a separate carriage house. - The Snyders new home includes 13 total bathrooms, seven bedrooms, a gaming room with a full bar, a home gym, an indoor pool, a sauna, a steam room, and a 15-seat movie theater. - The Washington Football Team in 2021 was fined $10 million dollars by the NFL following the investigation and oral report provided by attorney Beth Wilkinson. The investigation centered on sexual harassment in the workplace conditions among male employees for the Washington Redskins. - However, the latest accusations made by Tiffani Johnston name Snyder himself as a guilty party not only as negligent in his oversight of workplace culture but also himself actively guilty of sexual harassment of Johnston. - - - - - - - - - - - - Email - - - - - Sign up - - - - - - - - Like this article? - Sign up for the Washington Wire email newsletter to get our top stories in your inbox every morning - - - - An error has occured - - - Please re-enter your email address. - - - - - - Thanks for signing up! - - - You'll now receive the top Washington Wire stories each day directly in your inbox.
