Washington Commanders owner Daniel Snyder perhaps is just beginning to see another domino effect in opposition to his being accused of sexual harassment two weeks ago by former Washington employee Tiffani Johnston. - Wednesday night Matthew Paras of the Washington Times broke the news report that Medliminal, a former sponsor of the Washington football franchise (now Commanders) is publicly severing its relations with the organization owned by Snyder. - A medical billing compliance company centered in Manassas, Virginia, Medliminal announced in an email they will not be renewing their sponsorship pact for this upcoming season. - Paras reported, the Boycott Dan website emailed Medliminal asking it to take action against the Commanders. Boycott Dan has voiced its disapproval of Snyder following his being accused of inappropriate behavior toward female employees. Even more, the website takes another step, requesting fans to “Tell Corporate Sponsors of the Washington Commanders: Drop Dan or We Drop You.” - Additionally, the webpage invites fans to click on a corporate sponsor (a list is provided). The website then relays readers to a drafted email that they can send the company with their name included. - The opening paragraph of the drafted email to be sent to a corporate sponsor of the Commanders reads as follows: - Dear CEO, Board Members, and Media Relations at [corporation/company], I am writing to urge you to immediately sever any and all ties with Daniel Snyder and the Washington Commanders NFL team.  Mr. Snyder has engaged in inappropriate and potentially illegal activities including the sexual abuse and assault of female employees. Your [corporation’s/company’s] continued association with Mr. Snyder and the Commanders will force me, my family, and my friends to use [sponsor’s biggest competitor] [services or product] instead. - The website in describing its creators states, “We’re two longtime Commanders (and WFT, and before) fans who saw the brave women who spoke before a House committee regarding the culture of sexual harassment and assault in the organization. We decided enough was enough and that if the NFL wouldn’t hold Dan Snyder accountable, we would have to pressure Corporate America to do it for them.” - Remember #FireBruceAllen? Well, this is packing a much larger punch. How many more dominoes will fall? We don’t know, but we can be sure that Snyder’s fellow NFL owners will become aware of this site very soon. - - - - - - - - - - - - Email - - - - - Sign up - - - - - - - - Like this article? - Sign up for the Washington Wire email newsletter to get our top stories in your inbox every morning - - - - An error has occured - - - Please re-enter your email address. - - - - - - Thanks for signing up! - - - You'll now receive the top Washington Wire stories each day directly in your inbox.
